# Collect donations

> Let attendees add a donation to their order during checkout

Donations let an attendee give an extra amount on top of their ticket price at checkout. It's a natural fit for fundraisers, community events, and any show where regulars want to chip in beyond the ticket.

## What attendees see

With donations enabled, the checkout flow offers the option to add a donation alongside the ticket selection. Attendees who skip it check out normally — the ticket price is unaffected.

## Where donations show up

Donation amounts flow into your event's revenue figures. Check them in [Sales reports](/reporting/sales-reports).

<Note>
  Donations are collected through the same Stripe account as your ticket sales, so they arrive on the same payout schedule. See [Payouts](/payments/payouts).

## A note on tax

TixFix collects donations on your behalf; it does not issue tax receipts or verify charitable status. If your attendees need a receipt for a tax-deductible gift, arrange that separately through your organization.
