# Tickets FAQ

> Answers to common questions about resending, transferring, and cancelling tickets

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="An attendee lost their ticket email. How do I get it back to them?">
    Resend it. Find them on the [guest list](/attendees/guest-list), open their order, and resend — correcting the email address if the original was wrong.

    Have them check spam first. Ticket emails land there more than anything else, and it saves you both a step.

    See [Resend a ticket](/attendees/resend-a-ticket).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Someone used the wrong email address at checkout.">
    Resend the ticket to the correct address, and correct it on the order so future emails about the event reach them too.

    If they're standing at the door, this is the fastest fix available — under a minute, provided they can open email on their phone.

    See [Resend a ticket](/attendees/resend-a-ticket).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can a ticket be transferred to someone else?">
    Yes. Open the order from the guest list and transfer it, entering the new attendee's details and the address the ticket should go to.

    Transferring keeps the revenue and the seat — nothing is refunded and your ticket count doesn't change. It's the right tool when someone can't attend and has found a replacement.

    See [Transfer or cancel a ticket](/attendees/transfer-or-cancel).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I cancel just one ticket from a multi-ticket order?">
    Open the order and cancel the individual ticket. The rest of the order is unaffected.

    The refund goes back to the card that paid, and the seat returns to your available capacity.

    See [Transfer or cancel a ticket](/attendees/transfer-or-cancel).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does resending invalidate the original ticket?">
    No. Both emails carry the same ticket, so either works at the door — and because it's one ticket, it can still only be checked in once.

    There's no risk in resending more than once.

    See [Resend a ticket](/attendees/resend-a-ticket).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens to a cancelled ticket at the door?">
    The QR code stops being valid and scans as invalid.

    If someone turns up holding a refunded ticket, check the [guest list](/attendees/guest-list) before turning them away — occasionally a refund was issued in error, and it's better to find that out at the door than afterwards.

    See [Troubleshoot scanning](/scanning/troubleshoot-scanning).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I download the full attendee list?">
    Export it from the event's guest list. The file includes names, email addresses, phone numbers where given, ticket category, and answers to every custom question — including ones not shown at scanning.

    Treat it as personal data: store it somewhere access-controlled and delete copies when the event is done.

    See [Export attendees](/attendees/export-attendees).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="An attendee says they paid but isn't on the guest list.">
    Almost always a different email address than the one they're telling you about — people buy on a work address and search a personal one.

    Search the guest list by name as well as email. If there's genuinely no order, ask them to check their bank for the charge; a card authorization that never completed looks like a payment on a phone banking app but never reached you.

    See [Guest list](/attendees/guest-list).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I sell tickets at the door?">
    Your published event page keeps selling while its ticket categories are within their sales windows, so anyone with the link can buy on their phone at the entrance.

    If you want that, set a category's sales window to run through the start of the event. See [Ticket types and pricing](/events/ticket-types).
