Assigning a promoter is a three-step wizard. You identify the person and the event, set their commission and allocation, then review and send the invite.
The event you want must already exist and be upcoming. The event picker in step 1 only offers events that are still ahead of you.

Send the invite

1

Go to Promoters and click Assign Promoter

Promoters is in the left sidebar; Assign Promoter is the button in the top right. The dialog opens on Step 1 of 3, headed Invite an promoter — Who’s selling tickets for you?
2

Enter the promoter's full name

Type their name into FULL NAME. This is how they appear on your roster.
3

Enter their email address

The EMAIL field carries the note We’ll send them an invite to accept this deal on TixFix. Get this right — the invite and the deal both go here.
4

Choose the event

Open EVENT and select the event they’ll be selling for. One invite covers one event; invite the same person again for a second event.
5

Click Continue

You move to step 2 to set the deal terms.
6

Set commission and allocation

Decide what they earn per sale and how many tickets they may sell. See Commission and allocation.
7

Review and send

Step 3 summarizes the deal. Check the email address and the numbers, then send. TixFix emails the promoter an invitation to accept.
Sending is not reversible from the promoter’s point of view — they receive the email immediately. Confirm the commission and allocation on the review screen before you send.

After sending

The promoter appears on your roster with a status reflecting that they have been invited but have not yet accepted. Once they accept, they can start selling and their sales begin counting against their allocation.

They didn’t get the invite

Check the spelling of the email address on the roster first — a typo is by far the most common cause. Ask them to check spam. If it still hasn’t arrived, see Promoters FAQ.
