Short answers about building and running events. Each links to the fuller guide.
They’re two separate settings.Draft vs published is whether the event exists for attendees at all. Save as Draft keeps it private; Publish makes it live and able to sell tickets.Public vs link-only applies to published events. With Make this event public on, the event is listed on the TixFix app and discoverable. With it off, the event still sells tickets but only to people you send the link to — right for private functions and quiet pre-sales.See Publish and visibility.
Yes. Open the event’s menu, choose Edit, and you’re back in the same two-step wizard with your values pre-filled. Changes take effect as soon as you save — there’s no separate re-publish step.See Edit, duplicate, or cancel an event.
You can, but TixFix will not tell your attendees for you.Anyone already holding a ticket learns about the change only if you email them. Send it yourself, and put the change in the subject line — a schedule change buried in paragraph three gets missed.See Email your attendees.
Cancelling stops the event selling. It does not automatically refund existing orders or notify attendees. Both are on you:
  1. Refund each order — see Transfer or cancel a ticket.
  2. Email everyone registered — see Email your attendees.
Do the email first. People would rather hear it from you than discover it when a refund appears.
Create a new event and copy the details across — title, description, venue, ticket categories, and registration questions — then set the new dates.Keeping the original open in a second browser tab makes copying the ticket tiers and custom questions much faster. See Edit, duplicate, or cancel an event.
Yes. The Event Type block on the first step of the wizard has an age setting alongside the category — for example All Ages. It’s displayed to attendees, not enforced at checkout. Enforcement happens at your door.See Event details and venue.
The one you set in the Time Zone field next to the event dates. That’s the zone shown on your event page and on tickets.Set it to the venue’s local time zone, not your own. Running an event in another city while sitting at home is the usual way this goes wrong.See Event details and venue.
As many as you need — add each with Add New Ticket Category. Each has its own quantity, price, and sales window, so you can stage early-bird, general, and VIP tiers that open and close at different times. In practice three or four is plenty. More than that and attendees stall on the choice.See Ticket types and pricing.
